SKU DROV-PCB-071 REV2.0.2 · HS code 8517.62.0050
Description
The DROV-PCB-071 is a two-channel serial-to-Ethernet interface. It connects up to two RS232, RS422 or RS485 devices to a 10/100 Mbit Ethernet network, so that software on a PC can reach them over the network as if they were connected to local COM ports.
Each channel is set independently to RS232, RS422 (4-wire) or RS485 (2-wire) with jumpers on the board. On Windows, each channel appears as a virtual COM port (AK-VirtualCOM), and the serial settings chosen by the application are applied to the interface automatically. Linux systems and software that can open a TCP socket connect directly to the interface.
The interface is built around the AK-Nord XT-NANO-SXL embedded network module and is configured through its web page or Telnet. It runs from a 9–75 VDC supply.
